They send them to a great camp over the summer- where the kids can be themselves, have fun and get to know other children who have been through similar ordeals. Not only do these women help pay for the camp- most actually volunteer their time and travel great distances to be a counselor!

Sweet Baby A- Fusion Photography Palm Beach Newborn Baby Photographer

 Baby A's mom contacted me months ago! She was very excited to plan her maternity and newborn photos, it seems, from the time she knew she was carrying Little A!

I was lucky enough to get to know her mom and her family over the course of the last few months.  She is a much-loved little girl- who has the most hair on a newborn I think I've ever seen!  She is one head-strong little girl for such a tiny little one and it was a joy to finally meet her. 

Baby A showed up with her own entourage! Mommy, Grandma and even Great Grandma visiting from England!  We did miss Aunt Erin- but she was out working hard!!

She was not impressed by me at all and I think we were all tiring out before she did! Over the last year I have become overly comfortable with newborns-they truly are my very favorite thing to photograph.  She kind of put me back on my toes and had me second guessing myself- that was until I looked at the images.  She may have put up a fight- but I think her images came out great!  Can't wait to share the rest!

Her mommy isn't feeling well-so I'm hoping this will be a little pick-me-up! :)

I am happy to say that we are back from vacation!! We had taken most of the summer off- mostly to spend time with our children- but, also, to redesign our business plan!

Today was our first session back. This maternity session has been a long time coming!

Andrea contacted us in late April/early May about doing her maternity pictures. I was very happy to meet her and her family a couple of months ago to plan a session designed especially for her.

She was absolutely GLOWING! This is just a little preview for her. She is holding a pair of sweatpants that she says has gotten her through this pregnancy so far!! We also took a few with her in them- but then I noticed that they were full of "LOVE" and had to sneak them back in!!

Little Blaine was such a cutie!! At only one month old, he was a big boy!! I was a little worried at first. He seemed to not be comfortable and was not succumbing to my charming ways (lol). 

 I decided to let him go to mommy for a little while and went outside to get to know his big brother and big sister! They were a lot of fun. They put on a little show for me and did all sorts of tumbling and back bending!! 

Once we made it back in the house, mom had baby Blaine calm and ready to go!! He was great at posing! Even when he woke up to take pictures with his sister and brother! I'm so happy to have spent a couple of hours with them. The children were tons of fun, helpful and easy to be with!!!

I was so happy to meet little Emma!  I'm a little prejudiced, as she is my niece's newest daughter!  Emma was 5 days old when I photographed her and her big sister, Haylee!

I drove up to Northern Florida for a couple of days to meet the newest addition to the family! I had just enough time for some hugs, snuggles, story reading and photos with the girls before I headed home again!  Wish I could've stayed longer, but I wanted mommy and daddy to have some alone time with their girls- and I had a little girl that called me begging me to come home- my daughter came down with tonsilitis!!!

So, my visit with sweet Emma and beautiful Haylee was very short- but I loved every minute of it! Thanks for letting me visit her fresh out of the hospital and thanks to Big Girl Haylee for providing me with some much needed laughs, stories and love!! I miss you guys already!

Jomari is the cutest little guy. His eyes are too die for! I was so happy when his mommy bid on one of our gift certificates that was donated to help a family who had a child that was fighting an impossible battle with heart problems! Unfortunately, Evan lost his battle the day before the auction began!

Jomari, on the other hand, was a preemie and fought his own battles! He won- along with winning over everyone he meets, I'm sure! I met his mommy several years ago when she worked for the aftercare my children attended!  I'm not one to trust just anyone with my children- and I quickly felt I could trust her. Jomari is a lucky guy, for sure!

His mom made him a fabulous number 1 cake with his name on it.  She plans on making an exact replica for his party. He had a great time crawling into the cake, but I think he was a little apprehensive of getting messy! He loved the icing and went home on a great sugar high!!!!

I can't wait to see him again. It has been a treat to watch him grow!

I was so happy to get an email last week asking if I could shoot another girl for this years calendar!  How lucky am I?

I went into this one a little more relaxed, knowing a little more what to expect. I was happy to get to meet the newest cooridinator- Vanessa! Congratulations!!!  And the model for the evening was Stephanie. She came all the way from Indiana-if I remember correctly! She had just flown in from volunteering for a week at the burn camp that the calendar also donates to!! 

Unfortunately, Mia, the wonderful AFF that normally does hair and make-up couldn't make it. No worries! Grabbed my "Boudoir Box" that I use for my Boudoir clients and Cilla brought some great make-up and curling irons! Between me, Cilla and Vanessa- we got it done! Probably not as fast or as fabulous as Mia- but Stephanie looked gorgeous, anyway!!

I didn't really take many "behind the scenes" pics. We were fighting the sunset and so we moved pretty quick! Just in case you didn't read the last calendar blog I wrote- the calendar pics are hush hush until it is revealed in August! I don't even get to know which "one" was picked!! But you better believe as soon as they are revealed and the calendar goes on sale- A direct link to their site will be posted on Fusion's site!!!

These beautiful women do great things for burn victims, as well as many other causes. They are not paid for their time or modeling. They do it to help others. They are truly battling fires and trying to keep American's safe-whether it be before, during or after a fire or catastrophe!

Baby Boy B was the sweetest little guy! Our session wasn't as long as usual- as this little guy had a check-up at the Dr planned! But, it turned out great, anyway!!

He was awake for the first part of our session. He had no problem letting me pose him while he was awake!  He seemed to enjoy watching what was going on.  Once he became sleepy- he lost interest and didn't want to be bothered!  He especially disliked me messing with his hands! Mom and Dad were very patient with me and once he was in a deep sleep- he finally let me work my magic!!  I think his pictures show what a great little guy he is! 

For first time parents, his Mommy and Daddy were amazing, too! They had it looking like they were on the third go-round of parenthood! :)  Hope I get to see more of this family!

What can I say about Baby A? Baby A's mom was given a gift certificate for her session! Somebody loves her very much! I was so happy to meet Baby A, mom, grandma and her Big Brother! She was quite a talker. At 11 days old she could totally carry on a whole conversation with you! Also, she had an amazing head of hair- which I guess I should've shown you on the blog- but I love this new hat I just got, too! Maybe I'll add another image after mom and dad see them all!

She fought sleep- but once she was out- she was out! We were able to get some great shots. Poor big brother was playing outside and got a big boo boo, so we kind of had to rush to finish. He was not happy with being hurt and really wanted to go home. He was such a trooper, though! He let us take a few with his little sister before heading out!

I think for the amount of action going on during this session- we managed to get some great images! I was also very happy to try out a new lens attachment, which let me get some great "baby parts" photos- pictured above!

Hope I get another chance to see this beautiful one!

Fusion Photography Palm Beach- Ideal School Photography

A few weeks ago we received a call asking if we would be interested in photographing some families at a school Mother's Day Brunch for Ideal School. We, of course, said YES! We love doing things for schools! They said there would be some vendors selling things and it was well attended every year.

I'm used to people exaggerating when they call us- but they were telling the truth! The schools staff did a beautiful job turning a large High School Cafeteria into a beautiful, fun space with flowers, balloons, nicely decorated tables and a lovely shopping area! Not to mention the entertainment from the students and the dancing- with music provided by an amazingly talented young DJ!

Mother's and children were all dressed in their best and looked gorgeous! We had a great time and hope all the families enjoy their pictures. We are glad we got to document it!  :)  Hope to see you all again next year!

I can not explain to you how excited I was when I got an email asking me if I was interested in doing a shoot for the American Female Firefighters annual calendar!  Hmmm........Let's see: I get to donate time doing something I LOVE, and in return get to contribute to something that helps children who are burn victims go to camp and get scholarships, as well as the other amazing things that these beautiful ladies are able to do by producing this calendar!   Umm- Yes Please!

It was an awesome experience that I hope they will let me repeat sometime! Although, I was a little nervous.... I am not allowed to post any pictures until the calendar comes out in late August- but they said I CAN post "behind the scenes" pictures! So, above you can see our gorgeous "model": Isabel, make-up artisit: Mia,  AFF Calendar Cooridinator: Priscilla ("Cilla"), our firefighter helpers- Mike and Logan!

Thanks, again, AFF! I am so appreciative of having the opportunity to help! It was an amazing experience I will never forget!

I did this Boudoir shoot in March. I was very happy, as was this young lady with the results. She did this as a gift for her husband on their wedding day. She was great! Her best friend was there for moral support and we had a lot of fun. She was so comfortable with the photos, she said she didn't have a problem with me showing any of them. I suggested she ask her husband, LOL- as I suspected, he wasn't too thrilled with the idea of the world seeing her!  There were 3 that we all agreed were ok. In the end, I decided to just go with this one. It's everyone's favorite and it doesn't give any clues as to her identity! {those are my shoes- so don't go thinking that could be a give-away ;)}

I really struggled with when to post this. I have a lot of children and family clients, as well as schools and groups that are children based. I finally came to the conclusion that it would never be a "perfect" time to post a boudoir session to the blog.  The truth is, I like shooting Boudoir sessions. I think they are beautiful and it is an aspect of our business. I put the same amount of thought and creativity into them as I do a precious newborn shoot! So, I'm sorry if anyone finds it offensive- I hope you can appreciate all aspects of photography as it is meant to be.  Art!

Well, we've been very busy this month and I haven't been able to keep up with the blog! I am working to update it, and hope to post our sessions from this month by next week! Our sessions included LOTS of Easter pictures with our bunny "Cutie Pie" and Prom pictures for Berean Christian School, not to mention portraits with various families and couples!

It doesn't appear that we will be slow in May, either, as we already are booked for 3 weeks!  Stay tuned!

Meet "Baby C"! This little guy was a lot of fun.  I met his parents awhile ago, after doing pictures for one of their friends- "Baby E" (if you follow the blog)!

Mom and I were starting to worry he was not going to sleep- he fought long and hard!  This was actually one of the longest newborn sessions I've done in awhile!  But, eventually, he gave in- as they all do! It was worth the wait, because this little guy went into a very deep sleep and was not too bothered at all to let me pose him.

I really think the pictures I captured of him also capture my growth as a newborn photographer!  I wish I could post all of the ones I took that day!  He was really amazing!

  On Thursday, "Baby A's" dad gave us a call, looking for someone to capture his darling son's baptism on Sunday!  Our daughter's birthday was also on Sunday, but we can never say no to a little one! 

  Richard spent the afternoon photographing this precious boy, his friends and family!

  After the ceremony, they had a small reception and even offered Richard some- what he referred to as "amazing"- Polish food!

Baby L was a 7 month old beauty! She had no problem smiling and hamming it up for the camera!  She modeled several diffferent outfits and I think she enjoys being a girl very much!  As a bonus,  I finally got to try out my baby leg warmers! LOVE them!

I was very happy to meet her and spend time with mom chatting!  She made a great Easter/Spring Model!

Baby M had  Gorgeous Eyes!

Baby M was referred to me by my daughters step-mom (who also let me borrow her gorgeous baby bassinet/stroller)! Baby M was absolutely precious.  Only 5 days new!  She has a Big Sister, who I would see briefly here and there.  She did not want anything to do with the camera!  Baby M, I think, didn't really want anything to do with me, either, though she still managed to pose a little and show off her headbands!!    

    As long as I didn't touch her hands, we got along fine!                                                                              

    Her parents were very sweet and attentive to her- and to me!  Grandma was there as well to help out!   The whole family was gorgeous! I enjoyed my time with them and thank them for allowing me to photograph Baby M and for being so patient!  :0)  I love my job!

Ready for Valentines Day!

  I was so very happy to get him into

 the hands on chin pose. He was

very agreeable to let me do whatever  I wanted-

 if only for a few seconds!



    

 

   

 I was so very excited to meet BabyJ!  His mommy was friends with my sister growing up! It was good to see her again and to meet her husband, after all those years! 

  I had seen pictures of him on Facebook, and I was expecting a big boy! I was very surprised that he really wasn't that big, at all!

 His session was about 3 hours.  I quickly learned that whatever I told him to do, he was going to do the opposite! That was okay, I just started to tell him to do the opposite of what I wanted! :)

  As baby's do, he had a few accidents.  My fave was when he did number 2 in my hand! Better than on someone's clothes- which he did to Daddy a little later! ;)

What can I say about Maggie?  She is an amazing young woman! She is very kind, funny and has a take charge of life attitude! She has a larger than life personality- stuffed in a tiny, blonde hair, blue eyed body that's completed with dimples!  

Her horse, Pocketful of Sunshine, is a perfect match for her.  He is a ham and he's full of spunk! He smiled for the camera A LOT!   My daughter and I arrived at the barn before Maggie and when we asked him if he was Sunshine, he happily nodded yes!

We managed to get a lot of truly beautiful shots that need no editing at all! It was a beautiful evening shoot!

I knew from the first time I talked to "Baby E's" mom this session would be fun and special.  Mom was at her due date and expecting at any time!  From our short talk, I could tell she had a great personality and she was already in love with her little one! 

"Baby E" showed up with mom, 1/2 asleep and ready to eat! Mom and I chatted for awhile.  She was so very obvious- totally in love with her daughter!   And for good reason! "Baby E" is very tiny, but so full of personality! This little girl slept the entire session!  Even in her sleep, she showed personality! She had the sweetest little coos of happiness! She would also let us know when she didn't like something- which, mostly, was being cold or moving her hands.

Mom brought a couple of things for "E" to model- including some precious baby booties made by a friend, a tutu and headband- I believe also made by a friend, and the cutest little bikini I've ever seen.  That's right- she was my first bikini model newborn!  I hope I get a chance to see her again! She was the perfect little model!

    So happy to spend the weekend with a bunch of great kids! The Hitchiti Dancers are performing every weekend at the South Florida Fair.  Our 3 children are all dancers and completely LOVE it!  It is the one thing we don't ever have to nag them about!

After 3+  years, we decided the website needed a well deserved overhaul! We rebuilt it from the bottom up!  I know that a lot of photography websites are in bright white, however, ours is purposefully black!

Let me explain: 
When you view pictures on white on a computer monitor, it gives a false sense of light in pictures that is not duplicated in prints.  When you put the black behind them, what you see is what you get! No disappointing when you receive prints!

"Baby Z"

I was so excited to find out that "Baby Z's" Mom also happened to be an old friend of mine from high school!  It was a happy accident to be reunited with her again!  "Baby Z" was about 3 weeks old, so she wasn't as sleepy as we wanted! She was awake for the majority of the time!  But she had a great personality and was very happy to pose! I am looking forward to doing more with her and, next time, adding her big brother to the mix!
